News Media Relations Expert

To compliment play-by-play duties I have a vast amount of experience in news media relations to contribute. For the Diamonds, my work included written and video website content including game recaps, player profiles, special event news releases and more. I also handled outreach to the San Francisco Bay Area news media, hosted special community events and was a liason with local elected officials.  I understand that minor league ballclubs need people who can wear a number of hats and I am happy to fill these roles and learn others.

Returning to My First Love

I am returning to my dream occupation: play-by-play sportscasting. My first job at KTMS AM & FM in Santa Barbara -- after being schooled in Broadcast Journalism and History at USC -- brought a long list of opportunities including being the voice of the UCSB Gauchos men's basketball team, Santa Barbara City College football and weekly high school football and basketball games. I also called baseball and beach volleyball and later at KCOY-TV tape-delayed telecasts of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo football games.
Offers of jobs in news reporting meant leaving the sports work behind. Now I have returned to my first love as play-by-play announcer and news media relations contact for the Pittsburg (CA) Diamonds, an independent minor league baseball team in the Pacific Association. I am ready now to make the next step up the ladder.
